      Hi Guys,

I have just refurbished a Meddings MF4 drill press but the quill spring, as is a common thing, is broken.

Meddings would like £30 for a new, old stock replacement. I think this is rather pricey and was wondering if anyone has any experience with the ebay versions and which one I would need to replace my damaged one.

      Cheers

Jim — its cheap just buy it ! You can guarantee it WILL fit and it will last for a long time, fantastic drill whether its a simple belt drive or the two speed gearbox plus belt drive both are excellent machines

I refurbed one I purchased, 2 speed box some years ago with new bearings a large tufnell gear and the spring.

            Hi John,

            Thanks for the reply.

Its the belt drive with 2 speed gearbox version.

Ok, next payday I will order it up and get it done. Its the last piece to the puzzle so may aswell do it right!

            Jim
