Does anyone remember the melting point range of Easy-Flo No 1?
I know it’s a no longer available cadmium based solder but I have some still left from the 1980’s. I know it’s higher than No 2, which is circa 620C.
Tubal Cain in Workshop Practice Series #9 (Soldering and Brazing), says : solidus 620°C liquidus 640°C. 19% Cadmium, so don’t breath the fumes.

Google is your friend in simple cases like this. 62-640 Celsius.
I asked a popular AI chat bot and it refereed to above thread….!! So we maybe making our own fake news. However I pursed and asked for a comparison between Easy-Flo No 1 and No 2. Result :
Does this look correct ?
OOPS, how did I manage to miss out a zero in my reply! No need to reply to that!
IIRC, a selling feature for no.1 was that the colour is a good match for silver metal used for jewellery and silverware.
