Finally bit the bullet and have stripped the chuck only to find the threaded ring is in 3 bits not 2 halves as it should be ….Anyone know where i can source this ring without getting from America

If you look up Jacobs chucks on Google, you should find where to get spares.

Thanks Ian I've done this .Some of the repair kit prices are ridiculous to say the least .
