Good afternoon,

I am looking for a book on heat treatment (hardening/tempering) that is practical rather than fully theoretical. Any recomendations welcome. Also links to other forums or sites with info welcome

Tubal Cain (Tom Walshaw) was a very talented model engineer, professional engineer and college lecturer. All his books are authoritative but pitched towards the home engineer, including the one below:

Hi, I also have WP1, and it has a very accurate colour chart for tempering on page 36, among other things.
