      hoping to be building the advanced grinding rest.

      can i do all the milling for it on my lathe?

      miller at club is out of action for a while and would like to get it made ta

          You can do all a milling machine can do with a hacksaw and files! Very theraputic I think.

            Seriously though, it's worth considering if you don't have anything else.

              I built HH's advanced grinding rest some years ago. I used a mill but I don't think there was anything I could not have done using the vertical slide on my lathe. It might depend on what lathe and vertical slide you have though.

                Yes, but don't hold the cutter in a drill chuck.
