I am puzzling how to fit drain cocks for my GE Claud under construction that follows the Martin Evans Jinty layout with the valve chest under the cylinders.  While a drain can be incorporated into the valve chest that wouldn’t help my valve setting.

The full size works drawing doesn’t help.

      Best wishes

Given that I have no relevant experience, and in the hope that it might prompt one of the more learned to contribute, would fitting cylinder drains cocks in the cylinder end covers be viable?

“While a drain can be incorporated into the valve chest “ – if you mean allowing the cylinder drain to vent into the valve chest, I’m not sure this would be a good idea, as the water would have nowhere to go.
