      Evening, I'm replacing the motor on my Clarke CBS45 bandsaw.

      Is it 2 or 4 pole does anyone know? Will either be 1400 or 2800 rpm.

          Mine's in the next county so I can't just go out and take a look but this seems to be relevant.Appears to be 1400 rpm nominal in UK.

              If it's the same as mine then i think it's roughly 350w single phase metric motor 1400rpm 4 pole, it needs the torque for a metal cutting band saw. Doesn't need to cut very fast.

              One caveat to consider may be the frame size of the motor, which will dictate the shaft size for the pulley and the position of the mounting bolt holes.
