Now that the nights are drawing in again I find it most satisfying to sink into an armchair in front of the fire and browse through a tool catalogue or two……..perhaps planning for the inevitable question, "What would you like for Christmas ?" or just indulging in wishful thinking. I was therefore very pleased to receive the new Arc Euro catalogue with the last MEW. But are there any more catalogues out there? Chronos used to do a good one but no longer. I am not a great fan of "browsing" on a computer.

          Hi there, Mick,

You could try the MSC 'Big Book' but you'll need an engine crane to handle it!

          Best regards,

          Swarf, Mostly!

I cant believe the amount of people that actually purchase catalogues. If a company has something to sell me, they have to tell me they can supply it.

If model engineers stopped buying catalogues, firms would have to start giving them away again. The suppliers i use give me cataloges whist others buy them.

Imagine if tool suppliers charged for catalogues or even Tesco.

If i dont know a firm sell it and another does, who gets my business?

Out of curiosity what is the percentage of ME readers that still buy a printed copy either as a subscription or at a newsagent Vs a digital online version.

I would imagine (for whatever reason . ) that a lot of ME readers are 'old school'

They would have one more subscriber if the exchange rate was more favorable. $80 a year hurts too much.

Auto spell came up with "real ship" instead of "Relationship"

Mike was correcting his previous post, though going back to edit it may have been a better bet.

Having bought ME as a digital copy earlier this year i will certainly never buy a digital copy of any magazine again.I bought it like that to read when i was away on my boat. Never managed to down load it onto my Ipad in foreign ports..Not that i would bother with ME again anyway
