Hi I have some 40% Acetic Acid left over from a diy job I did awhile ago and was wondering if it would be safe for descaling and cleaning the boiler. I would also like to know if it would be safe on the boiler fittings as well and would not harm the rubber seals. The fittings have been removed from the boiler.

Used as its manufacturers instruct for things like kettles, it should be fine.

It won’t hurt the fittings, and probably not harm the rubbers but that may depend on what material they actually are: natural rubber or one of the various synthetic types.
