Being Nosey From Model Boats

Hi Gents, and any Ladies there may be out there.  I have been on the Model Boats Magazine forum for many years and only today Colin Bishop suggested I might have a look in here and share some of the things I do.

So, I’m a retired Marine Engineer and have been interested in model boats, in particular steam powered for many years.  I write a regular monthly column for Model Boats Magazine, specifically on steam power in model boats, and have done that now for about 12 years.  I also contribute the odd article on other model boat related topics.

I am a member of the Kirklees Model Boat Club and I have been the club’s boiler inspector for around 20 years.  I also have a fair collection of steam engines, boilers and all sorts of bits and pieces as well as a few steam powered model boats.
