Advice on selling my father’s models

I was left two engineering models by my late father several years ago and now wish to sell them as I've been unable to do anything with them apart from store them in my garage. I would greatly appreciate advice on:

1. As I’ve no idea of their value it would be very helpful to know a guide price for each model

2. 3 places to sell them are (a) Classified on this site; (b) Ebay (not sure what category to put them in though and (c) http://www.steam-engines-for-sale.com). Where is the best place (perhaps none of these 3)

The first engine seems to be a Stuart Turner gas engine with generator. It won a silver prize in a Model Engineer exhibition and the Stuart Turner prize?

The second engine is an unknown to me but I think my father said it was a boat engine and he got it from Avonmouth.

Chris the first one looks to be a Stuart 800 gas engine, if it has a 8.5" flywheel then it is, there was a smaller 600 but yours looks to be the 800.

I don't recognise the semi-portable, certainly not to any of the well known designs.

Hi Chris, maybe you could ask at Stuart Models **LINK** to give you a little guidance of your gas engine if you haven't already.

I would imagine it to be worth a fair few bob or two, judging by their current prices. It certainly looks a nice engine.

Thanks Nicolas & Jason. I'll phone Stuart models next week. I've just been out and measured the Stuart's flywheel diameter and it is 14" !

I assume you mean a 8.5" diameter rather than radius?
