Considering building a 5" gauge Duchess to Michael Breeze plans

with castings by Blackgates. Is anyone currently building one?

Anyone already built one? Anyone know of any sites or publications

dedicated to Duchess builds? Any advice, warnings, suggestions,

or reality checks would be very appreciated. Thank you.

You could try looking on the Model Engineering Clearing House, there is a thread there for Duchess, don't know if it would be of any use to you, but worth a look.

Yes, try MECH. There is at least one person on there that has built the Duchess. I've seen it and he's made a superb job of it.

I should also add that Michael's drawings are very good. He keeps in touch with all the builders of his designs and if anyone finds an error Michael corrects it immediately and sends out a new drawing straight away.
