          Hi Kevin

Good luck with your search, but you should be aware that 50 years ago 9/16 BSW was listed as a non preferred size to be avoided where possible. (Kempes Engineers Handbook 1965 edition).

If you really want to repair the clamps you might be better off getting a die and cutting your own on some suitable rod!

Might be worth asking these people, they supply all sorts of hard to get fixings etc.

              Hi Kevin

If you decide to go along the D-I-Y route you can find the die here

Not too cheap an option –  although for a one off job the carbon steel version should be OK.

              regards

              Norman

                Hi kevin,
The only listing I can find for 9/16" BSW is in stainless steel and the company does not give a price. This is the company.

                Les.

Is it definately Whitworth form as UNC is also 12tpi at that diameter.

                        Hi

It might be worth contacting GWR Fasteners on Ebay as they stock a fairly large range of BZP studding in BSW sizes. While I didn't see 9/16 size they may be able to locate some or point you in the right direction.

                        Cheers

                        Martin

PS. On closer reading of the Ebay posts for studding GWR Fasteners suggest that you email them if it is not listed.
