A friend of mine who is not in good health and unfortunately is selling up the content of his workshop, he as asked me if I would like to buy his milling machine so I asked for details he came back with 'Chester Lux Mill round column metric' does anyone recognise this machine and if so any idea of price

Chester sell the Lux mill as a current model with a £1650 price tag…..

If you dont mind the shortcomings of a round column mill or a noisy gearbox then it would be a very capable machine, with a lot of similarities to the Eagle 30…..

I had an Eagle 30 and sold it for a 626……

Value of a second hand machine? Good question….

Hi Harry, the last catalogue with the round column Lux in was 2011 with a price £1115.00 Ex VAT.
