Tube cutting

I wonder if anyone has any tips regarding the accurate cutting of thin walled (.75mm) large diameter (125mm) stainless steel tube.

What tools to use etc…….Thankyou

Thin cut off disc, there are special discs for SS.

Chop saw with the capacity and blade to suit.

Alternatively a suitably thin blade in a hand held 100mm + mini grinder, first spin it on an indelible marker to help make a square cut.

Thin 1mm cutting disc. Or maybe better if a lot to do, a cutting tool as used for exhaust pipes, very good. Local garage might do a one off for you.

Whenever I hear someone say 'Accurate' I always want to ask 'How Accurate?' as that will have a fundamental impact on the method of cutting. An other thing to consider, too, is if you can machine post cutting? If the response is 'Accurate to microns and no post machining' then you can almost only be considering electron beam/laser cutting, while 'Accurate to nearest half inch' could imply a hand held angle grinder. With anything in between being determined by the actual answer.

To give an answer before the 'how accurate' question is answered is, in my view, premature.

R&T, apart from accuracy (or precision, if only repeatability is required) I would also like to know if this is a 'one off' or series cutting procedure. A former and pipe cutter would likely suffice, or former and lathe cutter?
