It may not be to exact gauge size but an old hardpoint saw blade with the teeth sheared off might make a cheap alternative source of material
I made a large thrust bearing for the elevating screw on my Dore-Westbury mill using washers either side of a ring of 1/4 inch ball bearings held captive in a housing which gave first rate service with barely a mark on them for well over 10 years.
