The Do Nothing Machine
It just popped up when I was browsing earlier. Looks like something I might have made if I had more free time
If you like cutting gears, this is the project for you. First time I have seen a square gear!!!!!!

Magnificent!
It's worth bearing (oops) in mind that all those mechanisms individually do have real uses.
Even things like that elliptical gear – an example of many solutions for applications needing variable-velocity ratios and the like.
