A Stuart major beam engine has just sold on ebay for £1250……………………..

Casting set costs around £1000,

I built a major beam about 10 years ago, it took me 500 hours ish,

All the skill and time that went into the ebay engine is only worth £250…………………….

indeed, but in effect you had 500 hours of entertainment (couldnt think of a berrer word) for £2 per hour which is a good deal by my standards
