Polly Model Engineering will have my Q1 model built for the ME series on show on their stand.

The model is almost finished, just the boiler cladding to go on. A good chance to see how the pipework is run including hydrostatic lubricator line.

I will be attending on the Sunday, Polly staff will be pleased to pass on any questions from visitors on other days.

The bonded tender has worked out well and only had a couple of small leaks! The tender spring, hornguide and axlebox castings also look good and are appropriate for a large range of Southern tenders including the ‘Schools’ currently in ME.

Looking fwd 2 seeing it. I believe there is one FS example in store/awaiting restoration(?) on Kent & East Sussex Rly.
