I've cold-called farmers to ask them to complete an endless questionnaire about their different tractors and what they use them for.

The biggest problem I had is that farmers will happilly keep you talking about tractors for as long as you can bear to listen…

Neil reminds me of the ploy used with canvassers for political party "A", If "A" is not your choice you can delay them or ages if you have the time to talk!
