Old style Stuart No.9 governor drawing

I wonder if anybody has a copy of the drawing, for the old type of governor for the Stuart No.9, that was positioned on the valve guide bracket. I have a set of castings for one, but no drawing.

Thanks to anybody who was about to reply to my plea for a Stuart governor drawing; I have just been given a copy. Must be my lucky day. Sorry if anyone has gone to any trouble to find this for me.

I started hunting one up for you last night, I'v got some pages from the book of word on the S9. I had to make some of the parts for a rebuild. The balls on the governor are ball bearings , annealed and drilled, with the arms riveted in place. The governor works and will hold 400 rpm on air from twenty  psi to sixty psi on a light load.

Thanks for taking the trouble to find the drawing Ian. I was just lucky to mention it to the right person, and get one. Yours looks a fine job. I think this governor is much nicer than the one that Stuarts offer now. I once tried to use annealed balls bearings in this fashion. If they were annealed then heaven preserve me from hard ones! I now use bronze balls for my governors. The drill and tap very nicely. I just thought it would be nice to make a number nine just as Stuarts intended.

Hi Ian, it looks as though you had a fair bit of work to do on that. I thought you might like to see a Stuart No.8 that I fitted a governor to. The railings do obstruct the view of the governor a bit, but it gives you an idea of it. I started with a small pair of bevel gears, and went from there.
