      Hi everybody,

I read for a long time your very interesting postes, and decided now to go a bit further as a forum's member.

I own a Myford super 7 that has been (modestly) improved over the time, and freshly an Emco FB2, beside a pilar drill and a bench grinder.

My workshop is principally dedicated to old motorcycles, and if fact, that's why I haved invested in machinery.

As I learnt by myself to use them, it's a real joy to get new ideas, skills, and improvements for my machinery via your experience and your messages.

      Best regards

      Claude

            Claude,

            Ditto what Graham said.

What motorbikes and where do you live?

I ask, as you could find someone from the Forum living near you.

It happened one in the shop, when two customers found that they lived a street away from each other.

Geoff – No wind again! Scary or what?

Welcome Claude, the UK weather finally got the better of me this winter – I've just sold my bike. If I ever get another It'l be an old vintage one I think..

                Hope you enjoy the forum..

                Cheers.

                Allan.

Hi, thank you all for your messages !

I live in Strasbourg, in France near the german border, so, it will be a very good surprise if on of you is living around !!!

I'm in "classic" motorcycles for ages, especially the pre and post ww2 ones, and if possible british ones. I own now a 1942 WDCO Royal Enfield and a 1951 J2 Royal Enfield (in construction, the lathe and the milling machine don't cool down oftenly), and my long time favorite, named "Old Faithfull", a MK3 Velocette LE.

The funny thing is that first, the lathe, and now the Emco, were just tools to avoid the classic "please-my-friend-can you-do-that-thing-once-you'll-have-time-but-it-would-be-great-if-it-wasn't-six-months" for the restauration of my bikes, to become subject of projects and improvements, there the fact of my visits on your forum. And then the proud to have made personnal tools and parts, included in the achievement all the thinking process to make them…

                    Claude

As a friend of mine says "it's a world in itself"…

                        Welcome Claude/guri

guri.. you could write a small intro about yourself on this page if you wish, I don't think Neil would object. Another way is to click on 'settings' on the green bar at the top of the page & then 'my profile' & do a short write up about yourself.. unless Neil has a quicker method?

                        George.
