Thought I would post this for any fellow Myford lathe owners.
Having bought a Super 7 at a Myford open day, some 14 years ago, I decided it was time to protect the investment by having it professionally serviced. In a past issue of MEW, we spotted a service being offered by 2 ex Myford employees, Darren Boden, a lathe fitter with over 35 years experience, and Peter, who used to work on the spares counter. I duly contacted them and they arrived on time and did an absolutely first class job. The lathe now runs like a swiss watch, every bit as good as the first day it left the factory.
It was great to chat with them and they were extremely patient and only too happy to answer my many questions and demonstate the methods of adjusting an looking after the lathe.
For any fellow lathe owners out there, in a similar position, I cannot recommend them too highly.
