Ml7 carbide tips

Can any one share some tips for using carbide with the ml7. I turn alot of stainless Ali and titanium. I can get an okish finish but it'd be nice to get a good finish. I've converted the ml over to a 3 phase inverter fed set up so rpm is accurate. Any books info with maths and formulas would perfect. Thanks inadvance

Try FSWizard which is free for the online version. You have to select "turning" from the "Tool type" pulldown, select "carbide" tool, change to metric(!) etc. I agree it's a good idea to use recommended settings rather than hoping to get lucky.
