Would this carburettor (described in ME Sept 2015) be suitable for the Len Mason Mastiff justo run it for demonstration? The Capacity is three quarters of an inch times a seven eights inch stroke for each of the 4 cylinders of the Mastiff.

Is the Ridders carburettor really only for single cylinder engine? Simon

Not 100% sure but I would have thought you may have a job bubbling enough air through the tank to make the vapour for the larger capacity Mastiff. What is the carb opening on the Mastiff compared to the vapour one?

Simon, You could have a go at contacting Jan Ridders himself to all accounts he is accessible, and freely gives information, he might have an idea. Other wise it may be a case of experimenting in enlarging the vapour carburettor.

From my understanding this is the original meaning of carburettor, ie bubbling air through the petrol.

Carb opening for Mastiff is 5 mm. For the vapour one it is only 3 mm.could try enlarging the opening on the vapour one to 5 mm.Am trying to avoid having to build the Carb for Mastiff as per plans as it looks beyond my capabilities! Contacting Jan Ridders sounds a good idea but how do I do that? Simon

I think there is an Email address on his web site, go to Google and type in Jan Ridders.

In fact there is a direct link to Jan from his web site.

Thanks found his Site and he has replied at length and very helpful .He says no modification is required and should run the Mastiff albeit not for extended runs which is just what I wanted.I'm happy now! Thanks for your help
