Hi as my workshop is just through my lounge door I read a bit and go out and put it into practice. I am still making basic items to build up my skills and finding that small sessions are better than long ones where I get grumpy and lose patience.

Now with these repair plates I am making I am trying to make one perfectly and using it as a pattern (is this a good idea?) I now need to make a drilling jig which drills two 4mm holes 12mm from a 75 x 25mm plate 12.5mm from the side.
How best to do this please?

        Plates in my album.

also the plates are being painted I want to polish them to a high shine.

One can never be bored practicing my skills but the metal is becoming short in supply so might soon start on my little (Hand tools only engine.)

          Hi Colin
Have the holes got to line up with any drilled/tapped holes that are already in another item
          Regards Nobby
