Drain Cock with handles needed – any ideas?

I need two left hand and two right hand cylinder drain cocks, 5/16×32 thread. Thing is I want them with handles and not linkage points (they are for my 7 1/4 Invicta). Stuart sell nice ones but not in this thread size and I don't want to sleeve the hole as the DC which would fit would be very small. Any ideas please?

Now why on earth didnt I think of that…..I did, but I simply cannot machine a smooth enough taper to seal, tried lapping but still dont seal so last and i do mean very last resort is to buy some,

Price might make you think again, RA Baker do that size thread but with levers and they are £25 a pop so you would be looking in the region of £100 for a set if you could find them. I can only think of Stuarts who do the handle type.

Best thing to do is when you machine the taper on the spindles is to also machine a reamer or D bit at the same topslide setting which should give you a good matching taper that needs very little lapping.

These ones I did for the Tidman seem to seal OK

you make it look so easy.,…i made tha lever from one piece of brass. was this a poor choice?

Made the drain cocks and water gauge cocks for my Atkinson lorry using JasonB's method and was well pleased with how well they works – go for it.
