P.S. … If anyone with a big-ish mill is interested in a two piece 'book-end' vice [of the very highest quality], please PM me. I was saving it in case I could ever accomodate a Beaver or similar; but that's increasingly unlikely, so I think I should probably sell it.

      .

      Bandersnatch,

Point taken … but I did explain when I first mentioned them/it. ^^^

Oh … er … sorry Michael I didn't intend to make a point. It was supposed to be just a tongue-in-cheek comment in response to Jason's tongue-in-cheek comment.

        Unfortunately, I forgot the tongue-in-cheekie.

There is a pdf file containing plans for a similar endless vice shown on the Projects in Metal website, these plans were originally posted on the Yahoo group 'Prints and Plans' by a user called 'SterTrak'.

I just received an email from Kirk, he has been very busy. The vise is in the works and should be out in the next several weeks.

I've also been in touch with Kirk,

As says, he's waiting on the foundry for vice castings.

I'm watching this thread as this vise seems quite interesting in itself,

But i have also needed to wait on castings before, it can take up to 8 weeks to sort this out.
