So it shows X and Z rather than X and Y, plus diameters decrease as you wind the tool out.

Chester don't know how to set it, they just tell you that you cannot improve on perfection and would be foolish to try…

Chinese: "In the time frame of startup screen, Press the Enter key to enter the system parameter setting, as shown in Figure 6.1"

Translation: Hold down the Enter button while switching on using the rocker switch on the back. (The on off key on the front is not enough).

Only one Figure is labelled as a Figure and that is 2.1 use that.

Changing "Direct" for Y fixes the Diameters and radii, but they still show as Z.

I tried changing I_M to NONE but it was not impressed.

Has anyone been here before? Any ideas?

X and Z is the usual convention for a lathe.

Are you using this DRO on a lathe or mill ?

On a lathe (which I would assume from diameter references ? ) X for cross-sllde (diameter) & Z for carriage (length) is the usual notation. If your cross-slide is showing as Z axis, swap scale plugs at rear of counter ?

If there are no parameters for count direction, swapping the A and B channels in the scale plug will reverse count direction.

It is plugged in to the socket marked Y on the back.

To change the Z co-ordinate I press the button marked Y.

I had to change the direction of Y to fix Z.

I think it is Y nerd
