Brought a Grayson lathe home today!

Hi, I brought a Grayson 3 1/2" lathe home today. It is generally in good order except for missing a top slide. It did come with a top slide (from some other machine) that has been partially modified but I do not that that is the best way to go. Any ideas on the source of a usable slide? Thanks.

Hi Les, no, the name I use is The Artful Bodger. I didnt know the other guy was using the almost same name when I starting using it on-line.

Thanks for the offer Bri but I managed to adapt another slide for the job. I just need to make a tool holder and that job will be done.John

I adapted a slide for the Grayson lathe and fashioned a tool holder. It works quite well. The slide came with the lathe and I know nothing about it but it does remind me of the vertical slide on some milling attachments.
