Can anyone tell me if castings are available for this John Haining (Countryman Steam) plough.They were years ago.

Dave,

I am looking for a set of John Haining’s balance plough drawings for my father (he is just finsihing off hs Superba engine now and needs a new project soon).

Unfortunately Blackgates seem to have misplaced their master set during a recent move to new premises – could you or anyone else please help me track down a set?

I have drawings and patterns for John Hainings 2″ balance plough. I am off to visit a foundry in a week or so. Let me know if I can be of assistance. I have just moved house and will be spending some time sorting out drawings and patterns this weekend. I will look out the plough patterns. I’m pretty sure I already have a spare set of drawings.

Hi Dave. I have an old price list which I can scan and e-mail you if you message me your e-mail address. Note the prices will be nearly 8 years out of date though. I will have the new prices once I have visited the foundry in a week or so.

I remember reading the Darby Savage engine in Model Engineer and thinking what a superb model it was.

I have today paid for an advert on the ‘shopping partners’ list. It will be another week or so before it appears as there is artwork and website to complete.
