I would appreciate it if anyone can tell me the belt no. and a supplier of a decent quality belt for a Sieg X3 Mill.

A friends mill is eating belts at frightening rate. There is a just discernable no. on one of the existing belts which is 2×65. The 65 is the no. of teeth – fine! The 2 doesn’t seem to equate to anything.

As far as I can tell from a rather chewed up belt it’s 65 teeth x 1/4″ pitch x 9/16″ wide. But no supplier i have contacted have one listed, even Google failed to find any thing like it.

Perhaps a Sieg owner on the forum can help me please.

      Regards Keith

        The 2 indicates the pitch as a multiple of pi so 2 x 3.142 = 6.284mm pitch

Mine tend to last 5-6 years so I would be looking for what is shreding the belts including expecting the machine to take too heavy a cut.

Plenty on the likes of Aliexpress just serch for something like “2×65 toothed belt X3 Mill” Great Wall in the link are the same brand ARC and SIEG used to supply

          Hi Jason,

          Thanks for the quick reply.

We have already checked the belt tracking and pulley alignment and not found anything untoward and my friend certainly doesn’t take too heavy a cut, quite the reverse :-)!

The belts on Aliexpress are listed as 5mm pitch so it looks as if our belt has stretched a lot or possibly was from a bad batch.

I’ll order a replacement and see how we get on.

          Thanks again Jason.

          Regards Keith.

No it is listed wrongly, these are spares I got from ARC while they still had them, pitch is definately 6.28mm which a lot of people mistake for 1/4″

10 teeth at 62.84 shows no stretch

I don’t think toothed belts stretch, they give up by losing teeth or fraying
