This may be common knowledge, but it came as a surprise to me when my offer on an item was accepted.

When the seller accepted my offer, ebay immediately charged me via PayPal

… so far, so good BUT the funds were taken from my Bank Account not my Credit Card. No harm done, but it was a surprise [because I habitually use the CC for ‘everything’]

The reason appears to be that in my PayPal account, I had left both ‘radio buttons’ de-selected … I have now selected the CC as my preferred payment method.
