I need about a metre of CZ121 round bar 1,5 inch or so in diameter. My local supplier ( ME oriented, so not generally the cheapest) would charge me about £100 – is that reasonable I wonder? The last time I bought any this size was when Aluminium Warehouse sold brass as well, and I'm sure it was very much cheaper. But copper prices have risen drastically since then perhaps.

Sound expensive to me as brass has actually come down a lot.

Sorry I can't get any prices, I'll be out the country by the time the holiday is over but give Smiths Metals a ring over at Chilwell near notts 0115 925 4801

£100 seems about the going price for brass of that dia. i usually by from Metals4u and most of their prices are reasonable. https://www.metals4u.co.uk/brass/round/38.1mm-(1.12)/p79
