I have subscribed to the print versions of ME and MEW and received confirmation a week or so ago. I have entered my subs numbers into "My Account / My Details and saved it.

Now I would like to view some of the issues in the archive but if I click on "Archive" on the main menu bar at the top of the ME website opening page it just asks me to subscribe – well phooey! I already have!

SAXALBY has already had a similar problem in another thread but has not received an answer as far as I can see.

Please someone – unlock the archives for a miserable outcast. – Rik

Click the "digital issues" in the My Account box, it will then give you the option to view ME or MEW

Hi Rik,

Don't feel stupid, I have foundered around looking for them several times myself. I think that the website design really should be altered to make their location very obvious to digital (and other) subscribers.

I have just changed from a printed magazine to the digital version of MEW. I can see the latest mag in digital form but am not able to see any archive mags.

When I took out this digital subscription I asked if I would be able to view past issues and was told that I would. However all I can view is the latest mag and no back issues. Could it be that I am only allowed to view mags back to the start of my digital subscription?

Where are you viewing from? Pocket mags will only let you look at ones you have digitally subscribed to.

If you view on here by going to "magazines" along the top bar you should be able to see them all.

Like the thread yesterday how soon is "just changed" ? it can take 24hrs for your details to be updated.

Jason,

I have a digital subscription and have been working my way through the archive until issues 201 and above which wil lnot open the magazine viewer. Any ideas why ?

New issues have been viewed ok when I receive notification.

They view OK for me if I login as you so sounds like it could be something browser/software/viewer specific.

I have no idea why, but if I understood an exchange between Katy and a subscriber it solved the problem for someone a week or two ago!

If the digital files are kept in a format specifically created for flash viewing (I don't know, are they?), it suggests that the software that creates the images was updated somewhere along the line (after Issue 200) and that there is a compatibility problem with the new files and the old flash player.

Sounds logical but does not explain why Andrew has been able to view the most recent issues, I'm sure the they are all stored in the same place.

Andrew can you view the latest couple of issues by going to the archive or is it just when you get sent a notification of a new one?

I still do not have access to the archive MEW magazines on this site. I can view MEW 244 on the Pocket Mags site which shows my digital subscription is active. The confirmation email arrived on the 12th July at 07.29. My order number, email address and password are all correct so I don't know what else I have to do.

How long should I have to wait until the archives become available. I did phone Mytime Media for help but she didn't seem to understand the problem.

John. Can you check the details eg address you have in your settings here match exactly what you used on the subscription. I see the house number and street name was not there which I have added but there may be something else different.

Jason, To the best of my knowege all the details are the same.

When I click on Magazines I see the mesage that my subscription is about to expire in 28 days.

However I have a DD set up so the subscription ought to continue changing from a printed to a digital subscription at the appropriate date.

Hello John.

The mag code associated with your MEW subs number ends in '1' which means that you should be getting digital archive access which will run 30 days past the end of subscription date.

The main cause of this problem is, as Jason says, a mismatch between your subscription details and those in your profile (email, address, name) which are used to make sure someone isn't pirating your subscriber number.
