      Hi,

Their seems to be less and less people selling Steam Locomotives or Engines/Boilers etc on eBay these days. (I know there are various reasons for this as ebay continues to alienate sellers)

Where would be good place to look for them been been advertised for sale now ?

      Thanks

      Dave D.

Hi Dave D, Station Road Steam seems to have plenty, but I don’t know what budget you may have.

        Regards Nick.

Don’t know if this one is still trading, worth a try.

Forest Classics, Maxitrak, Clevedon Steam, Stuart Models, Sheffield Auction Gallery do steam specific sales occasionally, Miniature Steam Models in Australia, Maidstone Engineering Supplies and Chiltern Model Steam.  A couple of them don’t do locomotives but they all supply boilers and engines.

              To name a few.

This is a good, small site for UK private sales. https://www.classifiedsteam.co.uk/

Look at local auctions. Many have an auction of toys and collectables once or twice a year. I bought a Stuart steam hammer from a local auction house earlier this year. I should not have done. It was badly built but that is the risk you take……

You could join your local model engineering club.

You may well find other members wanting to sell. Or sadly from the estate of a late member.
