Those gib strips are made from brass or bronze commonly. If you can measure the gap and then buy some brass which is slightly thinner , you can make them yourself. The adjuster screws will all have flat bases except one which will be pointed, or smaller diameter. The odd screw fits in a slot cut about half the thickness of the gib, probably at one end or the other. This stops the gib from falling out.
Thanks old Mart. Never thought but checked the other smaller mitutoyo vernier and you're spot on.
Had some brass shim stock needed to be 1.25mm so adjusted it to suit. The width was 6mm and is held in place by a dog point grub screw on both sections with a 2mm end.
Fitted and adjusted it's now working like new.
