      Hi,

I have just acquired this vertical slide that I think is unusual in that it has a v-groove cut in the table and a conical (concave) base.

I'm sure these are original features as it looks unused, just slightly tarnished from storage. The table measures 3 3/4" x 8".

Does anyone have any idea of the lathe it is meant to fit?

I will be using it on my Raglan probably with a t-slotted table.

      Thanks

      Mike

Nice an meaty! The relieved base will sit flat easily. You could use a V-block style u-clamp to hold round stock in the V.

I think it might be by Harrison.

Well found, I think that's what they mean by 'fully loaded'

Can you recommend a "fit for purse" modern equivalent, Neil ?

… or should I continue looking for a vintage one?

                              Mike,

Post it up on the Raglan forum. There might be some help from there.

My pal has a Raglan, Little John, so if would have to fit in place of the toolpost, (No T slot on the Cross Slide).

Also, from memory, it would need an adaptor to match the Cross Slide.

Happy that it is a Harrison slide. Thanks all. Might be able to justify that T-slotted cross slide I have been looking at for ages now!
