hi, has anyone out there every taken the spindles of the Tom Senior M1 completely apart from the column, some of the bits just do not match the flimsy manual

Yes I have stripped my M1 down completely and rebuilt her.

The manual helped but a lot of it is on the job learning.

Take as many photos as you can as you go, that way you'll have a chance of getting everything where it belongs.

Hi Plasma, thanks for your reply, there was a question I would like to ask, I have of course taken a lot of photos as I have proceeded with the strip down, but found in the tray I used, a ball bearing and spring, now this may have been in the tray already, but just to make sure, I wondered whether you came across here items on your strip down. I don’t believe there are any ball bearings or springs that are loose in the Tom M1, it could only be from the selector on the top shaft, but this just slots in via a sprung turned knob which was not stripped down. Any thoughts please
