Having built a suds tray under my rather heavy CNC it has of course developed a pinhole leak 🙁

I suspect the welded corners, especially as my TIG set chose to die during the final stages of the welding.

Anyone got suggestions for a thin capillary type sealant that I could use?

it’s complicated by the face the holes will of course have suds in them – although the water part will have probably evaporated by now there is little chance of a good degrease.

If you can identify and access the exact site of the leak, gouge a groove, and fill with soft solder with a good acid flux.

“Gold Pond Aquarium Sealer” is intended to seal on wet pond, etc. surfaces and it works (from personal experience). Don’t know about sealing on suds wetted surfaces though, only one way to find out !

Plastic Padding Super Steel Epoxy weld is the thing to use. Just degrease ( use quick evaporating solvent cleaner and an air line ) well and coat both sides. I have used this or equivalent for many years on repairing oil tanks on lathes and grinders with corroded holes etc. It sets quickly and is impervious to attack by oil etc. Never had to re-repair any that I have done.  This is cleaner I use. TF-90 Fast Drying Cleaning Solvent & Degreaser, 500ml Twin Spray –
            TF-90 TWINSPRAY  from CPC Farnell.

Captain Tolley’s Creeping Crack Cure sounds just the job for this.
