I was outside having a fag , and a string of satellites went over ,about 18.30 tonight .. one after the other , for around 10 minutes . Not as bright as the space station , but easily visible . Not seen them before , what are they for then ?
I saw a recent news report about mini internet satellites causing problems for astronomers as they caused streaks of light across the sky.

Ah, that'll be them that I saw ..I hadn't seen that report .
Took me back to standing in the garden with my dad waiting for Sputnik to appear.
That was a few years ago.
We saw it too!
Copied from my post in November, on another thread:
I’ve just downloaded this from the iOS AppStore: **LINK**
https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/orbit-satellite-tracking/id1141694548
It’s free, and appears to do what it should.

I have been watching old episodes of the X-Files. Mulder would know what the un-identified objects in the sky are.
