Followed JasonB's link for the Veritas, looks good and was USD48.50 so tried ebay dot fr where the same item was priced at eur1,298.00 from UK – hmm must be a typo, try ebay dot co.uk = GBP1,168 – I think not, thank you, it's for my Christmas present, not theirs . Will try some UK woodworking sites as JasonB suggests.

Standard e-bay practice when the seller is out of stock to save relisting the item, one here on uk e-bay at what looks like the right selling price but again no stock.

Amazon are also showing it as OS

OTOH, I've had problems in the past with The Chronos website claiming something is in stock, only to order and then receive an email a day or so later telling me it actually isn't (and with no available restock date at that).

Hopefully your experience will be better than mine.

Thanks – I spent some time trying to find ANY Optical Centre Punch in stock anywhere at a reasonable price – and failed.

I too have ordered this one and hope they are serious about having it in stock….
