        Hello friends,

I am looking to make myself a few pump oilers for my shop.

Have any of you on here ever made one? I would like some help with the design of the pump element itself. The rest is simple enough. But I have never made one myself and would like to. If any of you have any information as to how to make the pump element I would love to hear from you. Especially if you made one yourself and what design you went for.

I am going to make a couple like I say, one of the bodies from aluminium, the other brass.

        Best wishes,

        Peter

There are plans floating around for making a copy of the Eagle 66 oil can which has a generally good reputation in America. Main fault is that it is said to fall over too easily. Most of the home made ones seem to have large skirts on the base to counter this.

Source I think :- **LINK** but you need to be a member to download.

Or this :- **LINK** . There is abetter source but my Google-Fu is low tonight.

Thought I had some plans in a book or magazine but can't find them. Which is seriously annoying as that will be winter project soon.

          Clive.

Further to my mention of plans for the Eagle 66 type oil can there a good article containing both drawings and constructional write up by Stewart Hart was published in Model Engineer last year. Volume 219, no 4566, 4 – 17 August, 2017.

If you don't wish to make the whole thing I'm sure that the valve and pump passage block could fairly easily be re-jigged to fit a different can by re-arranging the layout of the various ports and passages whist retaining the vital intersections.

            Clive.
