Other hobbies are bell ringing – I've just got in from one of the tower practices that I go to – modified cars, and cycling.

That makes at least 3 bellringers on this forum. I'm in Oxfordshire (there is another ringing Brian Curtis in the New Forest area), although I'm somewhat lapsed at the moment) and I believe Julian Atkins is also a ringer. Where's your home tower?

Rochester Cathedral, where I learnt over thirty years ago and returned to 3 years back after a long break.

        BELL RINGERS!!!!!!!!

We live next door to the church and, whilst we don’t mind the bells for Sunday service and weekly practice, we certainly don’t appreciate the competitions! Most recently was a bout from 3pm to 8pm on a Saturday. I doubt most folk would appreciate the same tune played at maximum volume for 5 hours

It is a bit better since we renewed the double glazing but after a while the poor dog just sits and howls.

        Other interest is photography.

The reasurring thing about this post is that I am not the only one with multiple hobbies and not enough time to do all of them justice .

and various others, and as others have said not enough time to do them all justice, certainly not whilst still working.

Learning Jewellery and Silversmithing on a weekly course.

                Photography (badly).

Making Ceramics, currently on hold due to circumstances.

Yes I can count as well (or does that now count as four hobbies?)

Seems i forgot how to count as well !

Anyhow i might as well add another one to the list – irritating the hell out of people , something ( probably the only thing) i have truly mastered devil.

Hope to get to model engineering one day, spent the last 15 years building a workshop and rebuilding machine tools.

                    In between:-

                    1. Cooking and the shopping that goes with it.. Her indoors does the washing up, plus I get decent food, so it's a fair trade.
                    2. Gardening, when limited to sunny weather and/or the greenhouse.
                    3. Beer, wine, vintage port. See 1).
                    4. Not sure if I enjoy, but have been doing it for the last 30 years and old habits die hard even after redundancy/retirement:- Administering, using and programming on computers.

Fishing, model aircraft and target shooting.

My workshop activities are a means to furthering these ends. I hand made the rod btw, it's my favourite, Loomis high modulus graphite blank, turned cork handle and gold plated titanium guides (they don't rust) face 1

XD 351, the guides were Fuij, I like the ceramic inlays. I decided to treat myself so went top shelf on all the components, the guides were not cheap but no regrets btw,

The only thing that gave me more satisfaction was tying a fly that actually a fooled a dumb trout and my little X3 mini-lathe and X2 mill made it possible to manufacture a decent fly tying vice.

Here is another trout from the lake.
