Possibly a bit heavy to fly (it is an SE5a isn't it?)

      Love it!

The material is not CI but BDMS – I know I should have used the right material but …. (can't think of an excuse)

As the bed is machined from a block a lot of the detail will be fabricated. Not sure how some of this will be done yet. To mix up a couple of proverbs: It's a case of "burn that while we cross it"

      All the best,

      Ian

Going well indeed. What is the overall length of the bed, and the width?

I have often daydreamed of doing a similar model of my M-Type but thought I might cheat and use aluminium for the parts that are painted over, maybe screwing two strips of steel on the top of the bed to form the ways. Now I have been shamed into looking at a block of 2" square BMS bar I have sitting around….
