Hello I'm interested on this ebay auction

I was looking to see if a phase 3 inverter would work to power his milling machine? I understand that to do this, wiring must be in delta?

Any help or suggestions would be great, thanks

Ross. To run a 3 phase motor using a 240v 3 phase inverter from single phase 240v house mains, the motor must be dual voltage. These motors are shown on the motor plate to run 440v wired in star or 240v wired in delta. To change them is a simple matter of connecting the wires as shown inside the terminal box. The sellers photo of the motor plate is very blurred but it looks to me like its single voltage i.e. 440v and no good for an inverter. you will need the purchase a dual voltage 3 phase motor for it . A 4 pole motor would be best (slower) Hope this helps .. John

Can't see any problems with that.

Looks late enough for the motor to be a 6 wire motor so changing over will be reasonable but You will have to probably check the contactor coils out.

With a bit of luck they will be 24 volt or 110 volt as opposed to earlier 440v coils

Ok that's good to know. Is getting a rotary phase converter a viable option as well?
