You are mistaken. SIEG lathes have Chinese chucks and bearings as standard.

Sorry Ketan, only going by whats on the web, I think the sites I saw were from the USA.

No problem Ian, I understand. If you come across such sites which make such claims, I will be grateful if you can please let me know, as they need to be corrected. If SIEG machines are fitted with Japanese chucks and Japanese bearings, they are likely to be a custom fit done in the country of reciept, or, the seller in the country of receipt is doing some marketing BS.
