Just wonder if the builder had a JAP speedway engine in mind when he built the engine, it has a faint resemblance of that type of engine.

Thinking to pre WW2, how many dozen different motor bikes were made in Britain, I remember buying a book on British motor cycles for one of my MB loving nephews, and I was amazed by the number, a lot with their own design of engine, many of which would be easily copied/scaled.
