Hello all,I hope someone can help me out with a little conundrum please. I have inherited from an old friend, a part built, beautifully made Stirling single chassis to the Scarth / Piddington, single frame & outside cylinder design. I do have the full set of Reeves drawings for this loco.
The Boiler shell, bushings etc are complete and pressure test OK, however it appears to be to the Martin Evans, Princess of Wales design with the central dome and the Stroudley regulator, Unfortunately I don’t have any drawings relating to the boiler or boiler fittings. His idea I think, was to create a model of the Ivatt reboilered 8 ft singles with both dome and that beautiful Safety cover. Does anyone know if this mating of designs has been done before and if it was/ is successful? The standard of build so far is very high and I would dearly like to complete this loco if possible. Reeves only list the Princess of Wales as a full set, but I suppose they may sell the individual sheets relating to boiler and fittings, hopefully!
Many thanks in advance.
