Source of M5 coarse bolts

Trying to find a few M5 coarse thread 0.8mm bolts about 65mm long. Trawled fleabay and a couple of usual suppliers but no luck so far. Any ideas?

How "about" is your 65mm length, 60 or 70mm ones here

Thanks very much. Looking a bit deeper it seems that the 'coarse' size is what you usually get – unless described as 'fine'. So I ordered some up and will see what I get.

You can get a reasonable selection at plain old Screwfix. Would rather use traditional suppliers, but they aren't open at 7.45 on a Friday evening.

They do some nice socket screws in stainless steel that I use for all sorts of things, although their normal hex head bolts are rather 'zincy' (if you know what I mean), and a bit rural for machine use.

Agreed, the stainless ones are usually very good, and they have ends finished so they don't easily burr over when tightened down on to a toolbit.

Sadly they seem to have dropped their very nice M3 countersunk screws which were great for holding hidden bits of models together.

Hi Neil, these people **LINK** do M2 – M5 stainless countersunk screws in various lengths, and many others sizes and threads, although they don't seem to have any the length that Roger is seeking.

I can tell you that I've had several orders from them and they have been delivered in a couple of days at the most.

More haste – less speed.

The bolts turned out to be 5mm self tapping torx type into the engine casting of my hedge cutter. I had planned to extend two bolts for a modification. So they were not M5 x 0.8 at all by M5 by about 1.25 self tapping form – should have looked harder and engaged brain!

Anyway, did the job another (and cheaper) way and slung the purchased M5 bolts in the box of bolts. Thanks for the advices.
